sling stud contender

I have a sling studs that replace the factory fount forend screws on a 14 inch barrels.
My question is, can I use the sling stud (replacing the front screw) to mount a bipod or should I use the factory screw and mount the stud to the forend and then attach the bipod?

Go ahead and use the screw stud, I do it all the time. No reason to put extra holes and studs in for nothing.  Unless it's not located where you want it.  KN
