Water Fowl Shotgun

I went duck hunting last Saturday and managed to fall while wading and I submerged my Browning Citori. I spent a couple of hours cleaning it up when I got home. I didn't like dunking it so I decided to buy a less expensive shotgun for waterflowling.

I bought a Benelli Nova semi-auto that was on sale at my local gun source. Anyone have any feedback on these shotguns? I had heard from one source that they are a pretty reliable semi-auto. Although I'm already commited I would still appreciate some feed back from owners. Thanks.

If it is indeed a Nova, the Nova is a pump (slide) action. It has a synthetic receiver molded over a skeletonized steel frame. If it is a semi-auto, it would not be a Nova and could be a couple different models. Just wanted to give you heads up.

I did buy a Nova. I was thinking semi-auto when I made the post. It will be my water fowl gun. I will never again submerge my Browning Citori.

hey
a friend of mine had the same thing happen to him  he dropped his gun in the marsh thank god it was just an 870 express  it took me 2 hrs and a lot of cleaning to get the water out of it  
so i know the feeling on that one  
i know nothing on the novas but being synthetic it will be a good stock for tromping around in the water and they wont get iced up if its cold
it was 28 deg on my first duck hunt !!
