Well, to get back to basics, I've hunted muzzleloader for many years and the need for a quick follow up shot isn't necessary if the first shot is true which, if you are an ethical hunter, will be. To reload efficiently, the reload must be convenient. To me, the butt stock is just one of many places that can be just that, just depends on your preference. I personally would not like ammo on the back of my hand, a belt or butt stock carrier would be preferable to that choice, for me...or in a pocket on my wrap around fanny pack as that is where I carry my quick loads for the muzzleloader. If one needs quick follow up shots for dangerous game, I would suggest a repeating arm in lieu of a single shot.....or have your gun bearer hand you another weapon... :roll:
