Competition does it again!
« on: December 23, 2004, 03:31:38 AM »
It looks like some of the American rifle makers have finally gotten the message that good triggers are important to sales.  All it took was those of us who rejected their products because we could by a CZ with a good trigger at a reasonable price.  Marlin, Ruger, and Savage are all advertising good triggers now. In the case of Ruger I'll have to see it to believe it, but it may be true.

:D Hey there Questor,

That is indeed good news!

I just hope they know what a good trigger is, as I bought a TC "classic" which turned out to be a total piece of junk. I read that there are many folk happy with their "classic," but I was very happy to get rid of mine.

I bought the junker because I was misslead by their ads which a few years back claimed 1/2" groups with the right ammo and conditions AND A "MATCH GRADE TRIGGER."

Even after sending the rifle back to TC and the replacement of the trigger group by them, it was in no way close to anything like a match grade trigger. Lots of creep and over travel, in short a trigger fitting a cheap rifle without all the advertisement hipe I bit on.

Oh yes, groups? Sorry to say they also didn't match the ads.

Sooooo, I hope the other companies produce up their claims.

Keep em coming!

It seems like the companies that make the fewest performance guarantees are often the best.
