I was digging through my old stuff and remembered I had an air gun that is over 25 years old. The air gun is a Smith and Wesson .22 cal 20 pump and is marked Smith & Wesson Air Gun Div. Springfield Mass. USA.

Does anyone have any performance specs on this relic, it still works after being stored for over 20 years and moved mutiple times?

I found the owners manual. But the fps is not listed. Is there any way to determine the FPS?

Yeah, get a hold of a chronograph and shoot a few pellets thru it to find the average fps. of your rifle/pistol. Lawdog

I was thinking of timing the shot to hit a steel sign, moving until it takes 1 second then measuring the distance... :-D :-D :-D

If you are a math/physics head and have some other airguns laying around you could get a generalized guesstimate of its FPE based on its penetration compared to your other airguns, then figure the velocity for the wieght of the pellet and FPE you determined.
