Merry Christmas to All. Well, I'm going in the direction opposite from the .45 GAP. Could you guys with experience with it weigh in on what's going on lately with the .45 Super cartridge? I'm also curious as to just what modifications are required to enable a 1911 pistol to safely shoot this cart. I know it operates at almost twice the pressure of a standard .45 ACP & just a stiffer recoil spring alone can't be expected to protect the gun from the hammering such a cart will deliver to it.So, what else would be needed to make the gun stay healthy shooting this cart? Thanx, jd45.
