Just inherited a BL-22

Hello all, I just took possession of a Browning BL-22. There sure isn't much info about this gun. The model isn't marked on the gun, only "Browning, made in Japan, pat.pending" So I had to do a search and find out what it is. Does anyone have one? How do you like it?

Have one.  Excellent little rifle, accurate and fun to shoot.  Just don't take it apart unless you really have to.

I have had a Browning BL22 for at least 24/25 years now. This rifle has accounted for thousands of gophers and hundreds of grouse and rabbits beside thousands more rounds just shooting for fun. The extremely short lever throw is probably the fastest lever action that you will ever find and accuracy is great as well. I now use a 22 cal snake to clean the barrel but in all of these years I have never taken it apart. This is the rifle that I taught my son to shoot with and now that I'm remarried used it as one of the rifles that my wife learnt on as well.

I just looked up the web site for Browning Owners manuals. Check out http://www.browning.com/products/manuals/index.asp scroll down until you find the BL22.

Thanks for the feedback guys, especially the manual. I will be teaching my daughter on this gun, as well as my other 3 kids when they get old enough or interested.
