Ok, I'll go first...

If I had one rifle for hunting browns and grizzly it would be a? 375 H&H.  Seems like a good compromise between knock 'em down flat and reach out and touch 'em.   As long as we're dreaming, I've also seen some beautiful double rifles; 475 NE, for example.  I'm thinking that in the alders, I'd rather just have...someone else right in front of me squeelin' like a stuck pig  .

If I had one rifle for everything else except hunting browns and grizzly it would be a? 300 Win Mag Flat trajectory and plenty of punch once it got there.

If I had one rifle for hunting goats and sheep it would be a? 300 Win Mag.

Frankly, if I'm hunting something I truly care about, I'm all business.  I'm looking for the most effective rifle available.  If it's more for 'fun' I like my Freedom Arms 454, my longbow, or dad's old Marlin 35 Rem :-) .

Tough one. Toss up between 7-08 and .30-06. I think either would do fine.

This fat old boy ain't in no shape to be climbing for goats and sheep. But the same as for above would do fine if I were.

As to the specifics on the rifle if I had my druthers. Both would be Remingon M700s. Both SS metal and Laminated wood stocks. The '06 or 7-08 would be one of my current rifles an LSS Mtn. Rifle. The 9,3 I'd like to have the gray laminated stock from the current Remington LS rifle with SS metal rechambered to one of the 9,3s.

TCR in .338 Win Mag.  Just change bullets for differant animals.  200gr for Deer, Sheep, Goats, and Caribou.  225 or 250gr for Moose, Black Bear, and Interior Grizzlies.  275gr for Brownies.

1.  Bear gun:  My custom .460

2 & 3.  300 ultra Mag.  Factory gun would be a Savage.  Savage has really picked up there QC.  They are making some very nice accurate rifles with very good triggers.

My problem is that I am left eyed and right handed so:

1.  Would be a Browning BAR in .338 or a BLR rebored to .35 Whelen

2.  Would be my 7600 in .35 Whelen

3.  Would be a .300 Win Mag in a LH stainless bold action.

Dave the TCR is a single shot, it's ambodextrious.

:) I find that funny because I have an H&R .243, 30/30, .357 max., and .35 Whelen.

For Contenders I have a .445 Supermag, .44 Mag., 30/30 and .357 max.

But the gun cabinet has at least 6 empty spaces in it!!!!!  And the dog doesn't care how many guns I buy. :-D

Dave, a freind of mine here likes to say his dog doesn't argue about what TV channel to watch, drink his beer, or complain about his cigars - so why does he need a wife?

One gun - I'm coming to believe its hard to beat the 338 win - for only bears I'd probably lean to the 375.  The 35 W is sure a contender though and a lot more pleasant to shoot.

For now my one gun is a 300 win mag - but then there's the 30-06, 30-30, 348win that go hunting now and then still.

Question #1: For browns/grizzly .458 Lott or Win Mag

Question #2: 375 H&H....plenty of power & reach and will handle grizzly/brown if you happen to have a close encounter even if you are not hunting them.

Question #3: .300 Weatherby Magnum

If you are recoil sensitive, my choices would be totally lousy for you.
Heavy recoil does not bother me, to me it's part of the fun of shooting !
Go MAGNUM/MAX LOAD or GO HOME !
Always use MUCH more gun than the minimum required to do the job.
Recoil is your FRIEND...It lets you know you are using something WORTHWHILE !

1) .416 Rem Mag, 2) .338 Win Mag, 3) .280 Remington.  I would prefer the rifle to be a controlled-feed type.

For griz and brownies I'd choose a .3.75 H&H.

For eveything else and in between. a 7MM mag both in Remington 700 BDL.

Got no good reason to choose the .375 H&H except from what I've read. The 7mm Mag. is a different matter, I've never shot a deer with this round that went more than 1 1/2 steps after being shot with this round. And I know deer aint every thing in the woods. This round is just a good killer in my opinion.
