I jumped ahead of no one. I walked up to the counter and a man was looking at a Marlin 17 HMR. The only available place to stand at the counter was next to him. Gander Mountain wasn't taking numbers and I wasn't counting heads but after the man gave back the Marlin to the salesman, he asked if he could help me. Should I have said, "No, there were fifteen people here before me and even though I am a buyer, please ask those potential lookers if they can be helped first." Maybe I sould have thought that even though I was there to be a paying customer, the management might not be interested in paying customers and are more interested in having all the customers file into a single line and wait their turn. However, this isn't the practice of commercial establishments that aren't selling food, fuel or tickets. Perhaps I should have been a mind reader and knew who wanted to buy that gun before waiting at the counter. And to address the line issue, there wasn't one and one couldn't be formed. The counter is 30 feel long, in an arc and manned by four salesmen. In my opinion, the only thing that tainted this deal is that it has walnut grips and not the older black plastic. :-D Oh, I forgot to add that I didn't get the box either, that would have made it sweeter.

I have missed out on many deals by waiting for gun shop counters to clear out and was abruptly told the next time to Speak Up or go home empty handed. How I got the deal was luck! A.K.A being in the right place at the right time. I am quite honorable and submissive but will not be intimidated by anyone that's judgemental or prejudice and of course, that is just me.
