Lost my Dad on December 23rd

It appears that he just passed away quietly sitting at the table. It was bad timing but we should all be so lucky to not suffer. He was sick but not really sick yet. I've got a mess of work on my hands for a while so I don't know how often I'll be on here. If you don't see me posting for a while don't think I disappeared. No will and a house that hasn't been cleaned in quite a while. There's a lot of sad folk's now in my life but I know things happen for a reason. On an NEF note I got back the versa-pac I gave him for his birthday and it will be his grandsons first gun. This hit his buddies and my wife harder than it has me since I have felt it coming for some time now.He was quite a character and will be missed.

Markus-Sorry to here about the loss of your father. Both my mother and father passed away suddenly and although it is a shock I would rather they go that way. My condolences and prayers go out to you and your family. Remember the good times you had together and cherish them forever.

Very sorry for your loss :cry: .I know how you feel.I lost my Dad at age 17.I'm 51 now,and I still think about him each and everyday.But this is good,because he will always live in your memory.Take and Godspeed.......Rick

Very Sorry to hear of your loss, my father passed away  almost 6 years ago at 59 I was 25. I think about him every single day. Prayers to you and your Family.

Markus,

So sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my Dad 2-1/2 years ago to cancer, after months of suffering due to a misdiagnosis by a couple specialists. Take some time for yourself and family. Like the others, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him. You will always have the memories, share them with your children.

Markus, sorry for your loss, I lost my Mother a few years ago and know she is in a better place now, I am sure you father is also. My prayers are with you, you family, and you father also. Remember he will live forever in your memories....and with God....<><.... :grin:

Markus, I am sorry for your loss. When your parents pass on it is a very hard thing to accept. But if we understand that they are now in Heaven and there is no more pain, suffering, or the many problems that faced them here in this life, it does make things easier for us. My Dad died 23 years ago and my Mom has been gone almost 2 years. I miss them both and think about them all the time. But I know that when my time comes and I return to my FATHER in Heaven, I will find them there waiting for me. That is really something to look forward to.  Again, you have my deepest sympathy at this time. Death is truly hardest on those who are left behind.

Thanks for all of the responses guys. Between work and fail I don't have time for a lot of friends and you guys definitely make me feel like I have a few though we haven't met face to face. Pleas do me and your heirs a favor. If you don't have a will get one and name your heirs as beneficiaries on accounts. My Dad never got this done and now starts the long probate process. It should be simple but it will be a long process. My Dad was talking to his buddy about how he needed to get this stuff done and never got around to it.Thanks again guys, Your prayers and condolences mean a lot.

Sorry about your loss Markus.  I just lost my Dad this past September so I know what you are going through.  If you have elderly parents or are up in years yourself it makes things a lot easier for a surviving spouse if you have a will. Also make sure things like bank accounts, stocks or retirement accounts, automobile titles and any other real property are in both husband's and wife's names.  It is unbelievable the amount of hastle you have to go through for these simple things alone as if loosing a loved one is not bad enough.  Markus you and your family are in my prayers.

Sorry about your loss. I lost my father when I was 2, so I don't remember it. My father in-law just passed away a few weeks ago, however, after a long painful fight with cancer. Although it is always painful for those left behind, sometimes quick and unexpected may be the best way.My regards to you, your family and friends.

Gentlemmen, Thanks for you support through this hard time. While I was trying to comfort my Dad's buddy that found him I got a call that my father in law died. Man when it rains it pours. He also went quick. My wife is a mess so I gotta get back to her. Thanks again for all the prayers and condolences. I haven't even got a chance to give my newly inherited guns a much needed cleaning.
