It seems I have steped on some high ranking toes here on Graybeard, and so it is with great regret that I seem to have started off on the wrong foot here! Is seems one must not express any knowledge here that doesn't agree with some selective members. It seems a new person is required to sit in the back of the room, and speak only when asked a question. If that is the case here, then this isn't the place for me!

There seems to be something in the way I write, that gives off a air of arrogancy, but I assure you this is not the case, I'm not an arrogant person. I simply have a dirrect way of stateing what I know, or at least, believe to be the facts. I'm just a plian old 67 yr old ranch kid, who doesn't have command of the English luangue, or the scholar's knack for the written word, and I assure you I mean no harm, to anyone's ego, by correcting what I see to be incorrect. After all this, and other talk forums are a place for the exchange of ideas, or at least, that is what I've been told. After all, the price of MY opinion, is exactly what you pay for it NOTHING, and if one disagrees with mine, fine, we don't all think alike, but I see absolutely no reason to be sarcastic, when the reading of any opinion is volentary, and a post will go away with the click, on your mouse! :roll:

No need to apologize. please give us your opinions and feedback. All of us can learn for one another. I don't think there are any experts here or at least I am not one of them. :-D We all don't agree with each other and some times we rib each other but some thing can get mis-interrupted. But look for the Emoticons posted you will see when someone is just messing with you.

Dugaboy1: I went back and read your posts and it looks more like a little misunderstanding than anything else. Bigbore/medium bore......I have seen them start and end at different places on different forums.

I don't think anyone is going to tar and feather you. :grin: The reason that I stay here at GB is that personal attacks, bad language and other such nonsense is not allowed. Other forums it is like trying to have a conversation at a bar a 2:00 p.m. in the morning all the worse drunks.

Hopefully things will go better for you in the future. We all must remember that once we hit the enter key, we have entered into history our words forever, for anyone to see.

Dugaboy1-

There's over 11,000 folks registered on GBO, and even a gentle, agreeable soul like myself sometimes has a misunderstanding, or a disagreement with one or two, from time to time. If you like lever actions, be sure to pop in to that forum.

That Dallas show sounds fun, but I'm firmly attached to two anchors known as "children." Come back and tell us about it, if you get the time.

Apology accepted but unnecessary. Please see my additional comments on the thread where the comments were made. Just a minor misunderstanding that's gonna happen from time to time on here. Personal attacks we just don't go for here at GBO. I don't think it was intended in that way but just a perhaps bad joke not understood as intended. Let's call it that at least.

For sure we're not all always gonna agree with each other. I've had some strong disagreements with a lot of folks on here. Don't mean we have to call each other names or get mad. We don't have to agree on all points to remain friends and friendly now do we? Matter of fact me and several of the Moderators have had lots of disagreements over such matters but we all still get along. Minor points of disagreement just aren't of enough importance to worry about for more than maybe a count of ten.

I have been treated great on this board. Sure people are going to disagree, that is human nature. On another board I go on a lot you better have some thick skin. Those boys take there posts way to serious. I really enjoy this board, the posts & the posters seem to be very respectful.

DUGABOY1, keep right on posting. Like Dirty Harry said, "opinions are like @$$-holes, everybody's got one". BUT, those that come from experience are valuable, and should be heard. And as for the other thread, you were 100% on the mark. The .375 is NOT a bigbore, but as Graybeard explained it was put in this forum for good reasons.

Yes, in Africa the 375 is considered a medium bore. But here in the US some consider it the start of the big bore.
