Hi all,
Anybody know if a ruger bisley hammer will "drop in" to a blackhawk without mods? :?

Either the hammer or grip frame needs to be altered.  I favor Super Blackhawk hammers myself, which will drop in and are (for me) just the right height.

bpjon,
Thanks for the reply
I have small hands so I would like the bisley hammer. Sounds like it is possible with some modification.
Much obliged

Actually pretty easy

I'm told it is pretty straightforward.  The hump on the back of the Bisley hammer needs to be removed.  I was told the easiest way to figure out how much to take off is just to use the original hammer as a template.  Never done it myself, but had a couple of Bisley hammers floating around and compared them to the standardhammers, and it looked to me like anyone who is slightly handy could do it.
