« on: December 28, 2004, 08:43:49 AM »
I've lusted after the model 336 Cowboy in .38-55 for more than a year, and now that I cn finally afford it, I can't find one.

Does anyone know of a shop that has one?

I'm afraid you may have waited too long. About all you can do now is have your local dealer check all his distributors and see if any of them have any in stock. Other than that, you might check the various auction sites, in case one shows up there, but be prepard to pay even more than before!

Yeah, marlin,

I've had the dealer check. No joy.

I want too mention that technically, one isn't "waiting" until one *can possibly* buy.  In this case, I waited 3 days :-)

bufflernickl you have requested e-mail notification of new posts to this thread. BUT you have an invalid e-mail address on file at GBO. Either correct your e-mail address or stop asking for e-mail notice and fix it on this thread SOON.

Greybeard,

I'd be delighted to change my email address if only the profile wer set up so a human could find the right place. I spent ten minutes drilling around, tried every tab that seemed even close to being a likely place, then gave up in disgust.

I've only been suing computers for 40 years, so please be gentle with me. Lead me through step-by-step, or send me a URL please.

Also, haven't I posted my correct email in the body of the post each time I asked for a reply???

Wal I'll sure grant ya this dang new profile thingie Matt has installed can be a real pain in the posterior.    Trouble is that when you click that little block to get an e-mail notification it goes to the e-mail you have in your profile, not anything you put in the body of a message.

Let me see if I can walk you thru it. If you still have problems just PM me the address and I'll change it. It's actually still rather simple in the admin panel.

First click on your PROFILE. This will bring up a whole mess of tabs. Next from the tabs select the one called REGISTERING

This is where you can change any and all of your personal information. First thing at top of page is user name. Then e-mail address and following that password. To change any of them just put in the new one in place of the old one and click submit. Pretty simple really.

Let me know if you need futher assistance.
