IVE BEEN USING 70GR. OF 2F 777 IN MY .50 CAL GPR WITH NO PROBLEMS.  GOOD ACCURACY AND RELIABILITY. DROP 4-5 GRS. OF 4F DOWN THE BARREL BEFORE DROPPING THE MAIN CHARGE. 777 IS A LITTLE HARDER TO IGNITE THAN BLACK POWDER. MAY HAVE TO WIPE THE BORE AFTER 10- 15 SHOTS OR YOUR ACCURACY MAY DROP A BIT DUE TO FOULING FROM THE 4F.

I use 100gr of 777 3F in my .50 GPH flintlock behind any of the powerbelts.  My gun seems to prefer either the 295 or 348, 245s are OK but I get slightly better accuracy with the heavier bullets.  My twist is 1:32 so this makes sense.

I don't use the blackpowder primer, just blackpowder in the pan.  I get  reliable ignition but I think slightly more delay than 100% blackpowder.

Approximate ballistics with this setup are just a tad under 1700fps, 3 high@50, 3 high@100, zero @150.  Accuracy is very good out to 150.

About every 3-5 shots I clean the BP gunk out of the pan, about every 10 shots I run 1 or 2 damp patches to clear out the ring that may build at the bottom of the barrel.  I've gone 20 shots without any barrel cleaning and things were still smooth except I could feel the ring at the bottom, but it never seemed to create a problem.

I tried T7 in my tompson hawken flinter and it just would not shoot it. I wasn't putting a starter charge of BP nor was I using BP in the pan. Now I just use 3f Goex and it shoots great! Messing with two powders to get it to fire seems like more trouble than it is worth.

I wonder if putting 4f in the barrel of a flinter is the best way to go.  I could see the fine grain powder dribbling out of the flash hole.
