was in my buddys gun shop today and a guy walked in with a drift sighted old model single six asked if anyone was interested in buying. The owner saw me perk up and told me to go ahead and grab it if i wanted. The guys said it was an old gun but he still had to get $150 for it. There was smoke comming of my pen writing that check! Nice solid 5.5 inch shooter!

I'm glad to see that that is considered a good deal, since I gave $85 for mine about six years ago.  :-D

I have lost several excellent guns to children, but then my father lost some to me also.  How quick we are to claim a gun that we grew up with just as soon as Dad let it sit our a couple of hunting seasons!  Oh well, part of the price of passing on our gun loving heritage.  I'm already planning what guns I can give away to my 4 year old Grandson.  Got a neat little Bearcat (that I dearly love!) that I expect him to claim in a couple of years.  Love has a price.  44 Man
