The A-bolt I bought my boy loves the Reloader 22 with the 162gr Hornady SP in the 7mm Mag. I use WLRM primers 2gr under published max.  Even he can keep it under an inch at 100yds.

7 RM Pet Loads - 162 Hornady

We have had great success with this bullet for elk or deer with the following loads:
RL-22 65.0 gr = 3,000 fps 24" barrel Remington 700
RL-25 69.0 gr = 3,000 fps 24" barrel Remington 700
IMR 7828 66.0 gr. = 3,050 fps Ruger 1B 26" barrel
All loads chronographed 15 feet from muzzle.
0.002 set back on shoulder
0.010 set back from lands
Accuracy has been excellent with all loads MOA. The 162 has been a great bullet for us over the years and wouldn't hesitate at all to use it on elk.

THESE ARE MAX LOADS FOR OUR RIFLES. AS WITH ANY LOAD YOU NEED TO WORK UP EACH LOAD IN INDIVIDUAL RIFLES STARTING AT LEAST 10% BELOW MAX LOAD. DO NOT LOAD DIRECTLY TO THESE RECIPES ALL RIFLES HAVE DIFFERENT PRESSURE PEAKS AND YOU HAVE TO WORK UP TO IT SLOWLY.
