.358 bullets/ammo

Hey guys, I'm from up in the H&R boards, but have noticed that there is about the largest group of 35 cal folks here.  I have an H&R 35 Whelen and to date have only shot 200 Rem PSP.  I have only killed cardboard so far.  I wanted to hear some of your experiences with the 3 factory 35 W loads available.  I shoot well with the 200 PSP, but wonder with it's lower SD will it penetrate?  I like the 225 Fed load, but will it open up on whitetail/mule deer/black bear?  How has the 250 PSP hold up on big game?  As for reloading I like the 250 grand slams and 250 A-frames, but are these too stout for all but the largest bulls and bears?  Please give any feedback on game performance on these or other 35 cal offerings.  I would sure appreciate it.  Short term, my intended game will be close range feral hog and close range MN/WI/MI black bear.  Long term I will try my hand at elk/mule deer out west.  Illinois whitetails are covered by my shotgun and muzzleloader, but it would be interesting to hear about others' whitetail performances.  Man you guys really got me interested in a 7600 35 R or 35 W.  Sounds like a lot of fun!  Thanks for any replies, Buzzkill.

One of the guys I hunt with uses a bolt action Whelen and Remington factory 200 gr ammo.  I don't know any more than that, because factory ammo doesn't interest me.

He's shot 3 moose with this combo, and had complete pass-through on all shots - conventional wisdom says this is a good thing.
Hunting is Exciting!  Bolt actions are BORING!!
Don't mix the two!

Can I just take this opportunity to say Rick Teal has the one of the coolest little quotes on his signature that I've seen.
