Browning B92 value
« on: December 30, 2004, 10:06:57 AM »
Hello shipmates,
I'm looking at a browning B-92 in 44 mag that is in 95% condition, anyone got an idea on what I should pay for it?  Guy is looking $475, but that seems a little high to me-Am I remembering the good old days or is he on the high side.

thanks and regards,
 graycg

Probably a pretty fair price. Even the EMF 92s from Brazil are getting up close to that now. The Japanese made ones are really nice and usually have really nice walnut on them. Wouldn't call it a steal but if you're in the market I'd say it's a fair price to pay.

Sounds reasonable.  I paid $500 and $550 for my .357 and .44 Browning 92's in 99% condition.  Don't pass it up. You will regret it.

G

FYI, Miroku of Japan built those B92 for Browning (they also make the Citori O/U shotguns for them).

Davidson's, www.galleryofguns.com has had Winchester (Miroku) build 500 of them in each of these calibers; .38-40 (sold-out), .45 Colt (very few left), .357 & .44 Mag available.  I purchased all four.  They are extremely well made and I use them in C.A.S.  (Note, you can get matching serial numbers if you are interested)

Davidson's is having a sell on these rifles until Jan 15, 05, I think.  They cost more than the one your looking at, but you may want to take a look at their website and if you decide to go that way, you can have your dealer order one in.
