Bear Creek Supply moly coated lead bullets?
« on: December 31, 2004, 03:58:28 AM »
Has anybody tried these? I can get them local and the price is right. But I've had trouble in the past w/cast bullets leading and have given up on them in my .44mag. These have a black moly coating that is supposed to eliminate leading.

Thanks Matt

I have used hundreds of the bear creek bullets over the years. I have  used them in 44mag pistol, 30/30 rifle and 45/70 rifle. Use recommended loads for standard lead(no gas check) bullets. Very good accuracy with no leading. Good for upto 1600fps in rifles. Flare case mouths or coating will scrape off. Good bullets, worth the money. Have yet to find a better bullet for the 405g 45/70. Superb.
