I gotta get back in the game.

We're gearing up now for a trip to Okeechobee later this month.

It's time to go "FISHIN"

SKipper
There's Fishing and then there's Bass Fishing
Its kinda like the difference between Sandlot Baseball and Playing on the Team.
The difference is Practice

Goodluck in Fla!!!!!!!!  Skipper!!!!

I plan on doing more fishing in '05 instead of just fishing in the early AM I'm going to bring my fly stuff and stay fishing after its light.  These's so much fishing to do and so little time right??  I plan on this being my biggest year yet!!!  My new years resolution is to fish 24/7 and go to many different places too I have an invite to Lake Champlian too.  And thats not far from my camp in Vermont too which is minutes from the White River too.(fly fishing)                                          BigBill

:D Hey BigBill, Do ya mean y'all really use dem flies to fish with?  I don't nose how ya gets dem on da hook after swatting dem with da swatter........Couldn't resist.  I have flipped a fly a time or two, and still do for pan fish when I get a chance to fish back East.  I tried a time or two here for bass but didn't do too good.

Ain't no better fishing than to get into a bunch of big feeding bream with the fly rod.  And they eat good too.  Louisiana has some really large ones, several years ago I seen one in Alexandria that went over two pounds.  I don't weigh them, but I would think most I catch are 3/4lb and smaller.  I have heard several states stocked a hybrid Redear that grows to 2-2 1/2 lbs, I'd sure like to find some of them........you know them bad boys would stretch your line.

We are back into winter, it's been averaging about 60-65 since Christmas. but last night it dropped down to 22.  That will slow the bite a little, but folks are still fishing.
