harris bipod and M70 featherweight

wondering if a bipod will fit on the schnabel foreend of the 70 featherweight? looks like it might get in the way to me. anyone know?

The Harris attaches to your sling stud, and would certainly mount up to your Featherweight.  It has it's own stud to replace the one it uses on the rifle, so you can still attach a sling.  Yes, it may get in your way, but you can adjust your grip accordingly.

One caution though, If your barrel is not free floated with enough clearance, the pressure exerted on the forearm when using the bipod can cause your POI to shift.

i have a friend that used the Harris bi-pod on a featherweight. he used a small piece of leather to fill the gap between the schnabel and the bi-pod, to take out the looseness.

The wood on my FW is way too pretty to be hanging a bi pod off of it.  I use cross shooting sticks any time I'm hunting.  They don't mar the finish at all.
