PSE Firestorm..anyone have one?
« on: January 02, 2005, 09:16:53 AM »
Looking at a PSE Firestorm at local gunshop and just wondering if anyone has one, and what they think of it? Kind of hesitant because of the length. Wondering how loud it would be and how touchy to improper shooting form such a short axel to axel length would be. Any opinions would be a great help if any one has experience with this bow, thanks!

Mike, I don't have one myself, but if you want more info on that bow, go to www.pse-archery.com and check out the forum there.  There's lots of info about all PSE bows.

Personally, I like PSE bows.  I have an Archery Research AR34 Ram and a Half now.  AR is made/owned by PSE.

yes it has a short axle to axle length, but the brace height is the major determining factor. it is at 8" which is pretty good. I have one and I reallly like it. not loud and it is smooth to shoot. Make sure that the draw length is right for you (better a little short than too long) and since the axle to axle length is short, you should shoot a release with a loop (to avoid pinch)

Well I got the Firestorm today....I love how compact and light it is. Put a Trophy Ridge Hunter Sight on it and a Flipper Center Rest. Its been about 3 years since I shot a bow so Im lookin foward to it again.  Un fortunately it will be a while due to lack of cash flow...still need arrows, release, and a peep sight.

Congrats on the bow. My son has one and loves it. He shot a nice basket six pointer with it this year. His first bow kill. He is kinda short and the short axle to axle length really fits him well.
