« on: January 02, 2005, 11:01:15 AM »
Does anyone know where to go for instructions on adjusting the triger on a mod 70???  It's a classic limited it it matters, 2 years old in 7mm-stw.
Thanks,
Tony

 Here you go , try this link. Just be very careful and don't set it too light. I did on my featherwt and it did the remington thing.  :-D  :-D  :-D   It fired when the safety was disengaged. If you're not really handy with guns, a qualified gun-smith is a much safer choice.

Thanks,
My uncle and I did one a few years back. He had the instructions and it ended up going the smith, every thing engaged at an angle.  Nothing like a 5 lb pull with the spring OUT of the rifle.....................
I think I can handle it if it goes well.

On my .223 that the smith did it is great, I have yet to mess with the 7mm STW.  I just last month put a scope on it, trigger adj. and load work up is coming in the next few months, I hope.............
