Will Signature Zee rings fit the new CZ Varmint without an adapter. If an adapter is needed, which one works the best.

I looked it up on the web and Since the CZ's use a 11mm dovetail you will probably need a adapter. The website I looked at used adapters made by Weaver and the Burris Signature Zee Rings on a CZ 452. this is where I found the info:

I haven't shot it yet. As soon as I get some rings on it and a Bushnell 4200 4-16, or a Nikon Monarch 5.5-16, I'll let you know. It is my first CZ. I bought the 452 varmint because, I liked the heavier target crowned and recessed barrel, and I noticed it was all steel - something kinda rare nowadays in new production rifle at that price. Also, I thought quality of workmanship for a rifle in that price range wasn't too darn shabby. A little old world mixed in with the new.

I have a Ruger .17, and it is gonna be kinda neat to compare one against the other.

If you want modest priced 11 mm rings try the Beeman airgun rings from Cabelas - I think I got mine for around 20-24 bucks. I believe those rings are made for the heavy air guns that put out 2 direction recoil that is much tougher than a .22 rf so they should hold up well.
