? good price for an ultra?
« on: January 04, 2005, 02:12:21 AM »
Found a 223 ultra bull barrel topped with a Burris sportsman 4-12 adjustable objective with a 308 barrel topped with a Simmons aetec 2.5-10 asking $450. Looks like it is in good shape. What do you think? Never had a Burris scope so I do not know about these. Hope every one had a great new year.
One hole :D
That's my boy, GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

one hole 45-70, Sounds like a good price to me, if you a complete
rifle, ( or is it just the barrels and scopes? )
 223 ultra usedprice $200 + Burris $ 150
 308  barrel $ 60 to 80
 Simmons scope $ 75 +
So taking low end MHO you have $450
I understand Burris is a good scope. some people swear by them.
If you want the calibers I"d say buy. Just my thoughts.
 Marv.

OK - 223 Ultra sells new for about $225.  The extra barrel, including shipping, etc. is $82+$10+$15+shipping, let's say $125 allowing a few bucks for the wait.  That's $350.  The Simmons Aetec 2.8-10X sells for $150+shipping and the cheapest Burris 4-12x (the Compact) is $309+shipping at MidwayUSA.  You can bet that the original owners total investment (new) was over $800.

$450 probably isn't a bad deal, but of course $425 or $400 would always be better...

I've decided to sell my Ultra that has the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Comemortive Edition stock, with medallion inlayed on right side of the stock with a 22" 45-70 barrel, with Tasco 3x9x40mm scope.  MSP ret got the 35 Whelen barrel already.

But anyone interested the price is $235.00 shipped to your FFL

I've already sold off the Remington 700 ADL in .223

I've got some other personal needs that have to be met.
