Last night on the TV I saw a side by side comparison of the big handguns and cartridges. It was a test to determine if the S & W 500 magnum could live up to S & W's claims that it was THE most powerful handgun.
They used various test guns/calibers that included a 15" TC Encore in 375JDJ caliber. The tests were shooting thru a chrono then mathematical formula applied using the average bullet speed and weight to determine a "power factor".
Now I would have thought the 375JDJ would have blown away all others for brute power but the S & W 500 mag won with a far higher power rating than the TC 375JDJ. The 375JDJ wasn't even close.
You can read into this whatever you want, but it was an interesting comparison.
On the other channel at the same time there was a hunting show going on and the guys were using TC handguns on a big game hunt. Seems handgun hunting and TC products are getting more popular. I just wish TC would step up their quality control and improve the short comings on their products.
