My friend who has Bowhunted for many years currently shoots a Parker (couger I think.)  He like it very much.  Been very happy with Parker.  But since he likes to keep up with the times he wants to get a shoter, faster bow and I think is looking at Mathews.  He is also considering just going to an overdraw.  I believe Parker has a lifetime warranty, but my buddy has yet to need warranty services.

I have been very happy with my Parker.  I have the Ultra Lite Pro.  I have not had any problems with my Parker, and I highly recommend them to others.
I hunt and shoot 3-D with mine.  It is much lighter than a Matthews.  Matthews are nice, but seem heavy in comparison.

parker does make a very good bow.  I am a huge mathews fan, and if I didn't shoot those, I would definitely shoot a parker.  they are really lightwieght, which I love.  You mentioned the ripcord fall away rest-  They are great rests, but I would not choose it if you only treestand hunt.  fall aways are designed for competition in mind, becuase they are the most accurate, but they also require the most tuning and depending on the rest, your arrow may fall off a lot.  I have a mathews fall away on my bow, and if I tilt my bow to go around a branch or something, my arrow falls off.  But the only reason I have a fall away is becuase I shoot competition.  if you do not plan on doing this, I would suggest a whisker bisquit.  they are great for a hunting purpose, however you will sacrifice a little accuracy.

Back to the subject though-  parker is a good choice.  If you can, buy from a local dealer, not from cabelas.  Cabelas will not treat you very well , especially if you have problems.  just have your local guy price match.  plus cabelas does not do trades.
Accuracy doesn't come from the arrow, it comes from the Indian!

I have a Parker 31 Ultra Lite and I love it.  It was between that and a Matthew SQ2.  The Parker fit my hand a little better and it seemed to anchor better than the SQ2 and the Parker is a little lighter as well.....don't get me wrong I'm sure the Matthews is a great bow but I choose the Parker and I'm very happy with my choice.  I bought it 2 yrs ago.  I have a NAP dropaway 2000 rest and Copper John sights.  It shoots bulletholes.
Any day in the woods is a good day!
