.22 LR for Encore
« on: January 08, 2005, 02:24:50 PM »
Considering the Encore but want a caliber that is inexpensive to shoot to get use to the trigger pull and generalized plinking.  Does anyone know if any barrel manufactures make a .22 LR barrel for the Encore?

Thanks

You can also get fixed up at this site, but it looks like it would be kinda pricey. http://eabco.com/ . They have a rimfire conversion kit that actually replaces your firing pin, but then you have to buy the barrel from them. If I'm not mistaking, the site KYODE posted sells barrels that are offset to use the factory firing pin.  I would also like to to shoot rimfire in my encore, but may end up just getting a G2.

I'd also recommend the OTT "rimfire converterless" barrels for the .22LR.  Mike is a quality guy producing quality barrels.  I can't imagine you would be dissatisfied with the product.

Just get yourself a Marlin or Savage for $150.00.
