Can you provide the name and contact info for the guy who painted your SB hunter?  I have a HP stock to paint.

Thanks

Rich C.

The guy I used is Bob White's son. The shop name is "The Shooters corner Inc."   (973) 663-5159   I can't remember his son's name.  Do Your self a favor and don't get a candy color. If it ever gets chipped, it has to be stripped and sprayed to be repaired.  Candies are great as long as you don't damage them. I had two and chipped one.    You can also check with the benchrest shooters on their forums their are a lot of stock painters here is another...http://www.geocities.com/boonevalleyikes/paint.html
If I remember correctly Bob's sons name is Kevin...not sure though....

Go to Benchrest Central and do a search for stock painters or KAV.  Michael Kavanaugh posts on the Centerfire Board as KAV.  There was just a thread on there not so long ago.  Michael Kavanaugh down in Denton Texas is an extremely talented stock painter and comes highly recommended.  He also guarentees his work for life.

He is also a shooter so he understand the importance of stock weight and not painting over bedding and such things.

Thanks guys.  I'm an avid reader of benchrest.com and was considering Kav.  I liked the look and feel of Hornet's paint and was hoping the shop location was a little closer to home so I could meet and talk to the guy.  That not being the case I may end up sending it off to Kav.
