Blaser Model 95 Combination 12 GA/30-06
« on: January 08, 2005, 10:49:27 PM »
I have a Blaser M95 Combo 12ga/30-06. This piece has free-floating barrels and shoots real well. At 100 yds the 30-06 will group 1'' or less, 12 Ga with
Brenneke slugs will around 1.5"-1.75" at 60 yds. In todays gun prices and compared to other European Combo/Drillings. The Blaser is hard to beat for the price, especially the quality of materials they use and the reputation Blaser has for fine craftsmanship. Works with wonders for Whitetail, Black bear and the heart stopping of a flushing Ruffled Grouse in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Don, is that Blaser available here in the US.  I thought the only Blaser they were bringing here was the 93.  I would sure love to have your rifle.  Don't sell it for dougk's Baikal, I'll trade you a very nice Norton Commando instead.

Dougk and cgturner7,

I have become pretty attatched to my M95 Combo. In fact I am ordering another Combo barrel (available in many options), mine will be a
222 Rem/6.5x57R, I feel this would do fine for Varmint/medium class game.
Yes, the model 95 Combo can be had Sig Arms in Exeter, New Hampshire.
They order directly from Blaser(I confirmed this with Blaser today).
Sig Arms Website.  www.sigarms.com  , PH# 603-772-2302. Also here is the
Website for Blaser where you can look at all there products in German or
English.  www.blaser.de , Ph# 011-49-075627020, they speak english and they are very helpful with any questions you may have.

Don, thanks for the info.  I may have to give Sigarms a call.  Do you happen to know if Blaser offers the M95 in 6.5x55?  I would love to have it paired up with a 16 gauge.  That would be the perfect combo for my hunting situation down here in TX.

Don,

Your Blaser sounds like a really NICE combination gun!!!

Before i found a Drilling to hunt with, i was hunting with a Valmet 412 12/30-06, and i harvested quite a few animials with it for my freezer.

I still have it, but it doesn't get much use these days... anyway, here's a pict. of it leaning on one of three caribou i harvested with it one day while hunting on the Alaska peninsula...
