Check It out Graybeard!
« on: February 02, 2003, 04:17:35 PM »
I took some time to make Graybeard a special avatar, seeing as how he may be a true Ruger fan in disguise.  I mean, at least he has admitted to liking the .480 Ruger caliber.  Since this was done between Hornady and Ruger, at least Ruger has a hand in something he kind of likes.  Maybe he'll even convert and buy one of the new 94 Winnies in .480 Ruger.  Just having a little fun, but be sure to check out my special avatar in this post.
The intruder turns around slowly, sees both barrels, and hears a low-deep voice say "Son, the left one's iron and the right one's steel, if the left one don't get you, the right one will"

OK I've checked it out. But don't leave it there "too" long.

Ruger actually had NOTHING to do with the development of the .480 Ruger round. It was strictly a Hornady proposition but realizing it had to be chambered by someone in order to do any good they offered to let Ruger claim the name on it in return for chambering it. I think they should have dealt with Taurus myself and that's what I shoot it in.

I changed 'er back again.  I thought you'd probably get a laugh or two out of it.  I lived in Dixie several years, and found out a lot about humor.  Really what I'm talking about is the way Auburn and Alabama football fans down there rag each other all year long.  Won't go on too long, as this is the Ruger forum.  I just thought I'd get you over here browsing on your most "favorite" forum.  For you Ruger folks, have there been any of those .17HMR single actions out anywhere for sale yet?
