What is the twist rate of a .223 Remington barrel? It is a 15" barrel by TC. Thanks.

For quite some time all barrels with .224" bores have been 1-12" twist rates...at least that has been the conventional wisdom.

Personally, I'd say that 50gr is about ideal for that caliber.  The military uses (in at least one of their standard issue loads) a 62gr bullet, but I think the standard twist rate for the 5.56mm is 1-9".  I'm not sure on this, but that seems to be what I recall.  55gr bullets should do just fine with that amount of twist, it just takes load development.
