Georgia Coyotes
« on: January 10, 2005, 01:31:42 AM »
Let me start with a little history.  This Deer season my hunting partner lost two deer he shot (followed the blood trails but did not recover the deer).  Shortly there after we saw only a few deer in the area, none shot.  previously killed 6 deer in first two days hunting.  Coming and going to stand I found "dog like " turds.  We had been hunting mornings, so last few day went in the evening.  Last evening at dark I heard some yelping nearby.  I think we got coyotes in the area.  What would be a good way to hunt these animals?  Ga. Regulations prevents eletronic calls.  I will be using a NEF .243 handi rifle with a .357 Mag. handgun on side. The area is wooded. We have several 100 yard shooting lanes. Any Help is needed.
Everyone has a game plan, until they get punched in the mouth.

Live everyday as if it is your last!  Because someday you will be right.

Kill a rabbit and put up an attractant (such as a coon tail that sways in the breeze).  It is funny, i never hunted coyotes until I married into a ranching family in Wyoming, but now everytime I go back home to Georgia, I end up pulling predator patrol.  heh heh
