I am soon going to purchase a Ultra Comp in .270 in the next few weeks.
I already have an SB2 in .410.....
Which action should I get a muzzle loader barrel for.
.410 gets used ONLY for late season rabbits and the occasional copperhead. But deer season flips back and forth between modern gun and muzzle loader seasons. I sort of like the idea of using the SB2 so I can have both set and ready to go during deer season. Any negatives to using the SB2 action for my smokepole? Any particular drawbacks to switching from muzzle loader to centerfire and back again?
Also is the SB2 action lighter weight? Overall lighter weight for the black powder gun might be a plus.
I don't shoot particularly hot loads in black powder normally. Moderate charges seem to work fine at most practical ranges. I don't think the strength of the action should be a big issue, could be wrong though.
Anybody out there using black powder barrel on an SB2 action?
Will bigger bucks walk by my stand and volunteer their racks for my living room wall? Just kidding. I'll put the rack in the den.
Thanks for any opinions on the matter.

Love the forum. I think I will be a certifiable Handi-holic soon. Pray for me.
