Quick Detach/ Return to Zero Scope Mounts
« on: January 12, 2005, 11:13:05 AM »
I have a set Warne Quick Detach/ Return to Zero Scope Mounts on my Remington 7400. They have given me good service. While reading the Brownells catalog I see Weaver and Leupold make them also. The Leupold is a solid base. Anyone have experience with the Weaver or Leupold mounts? I a mounting a Nikon 3X9 on a Remington 7600 in 35 Whelen. Any thoughts in general about Quick Detach/ Return to Zero Scope Mounts? Thanks, MIKE.

Very good question.....I've been considering changing mounts on my Marlin 1895 and have been considering the quick detach mount........Surely someone is using them....

I had  a set of the Leupold QWR rings on a Weaver base on my last years 1895GS...took the scope off plenty of times and it went right back on...didn't shift the POI but 1/8" at 100 yards...they are good...Warnes are supposed to be top-notch as well...my set up is a little different this year...I have the Leupold solid 1pc base and twist in rings...have no plans on removing the scope...

I've got both the Warne's and the Leupold QD (not the QRW's) mounts and rings on my rifles. Both are top notch and good quality mounts. The Leupolds are a little faster to remove and replace (half turn of the levers) but both have always returned to zero for me. CEJ...
If I can't take my rifles with me, I don't want to go!
