Last week I invited some of my fellow club members and trap shooters a chance to shoot my Guide Gun. The targets were clay pigeons at 75 yards. Ammo was Ultramax cowboy ammo, 405gr at unknown velocities. Added to the mix was my handload of a 405gr hardcast LBT bullet with a charge of Hogdon 4198.
The first shooter was apprehensive due to the size of the cartridge, he hit a clay on his 2nd shot, his first was into the berm, just for fun. The next 2 shooters hit nothing but the berm but were very gun shy, they thought I was pulling their leg regarding the recoil of the Guide Gun. They were pleasantly surprised. Now it was my turn with my gun and my ammo. Note, I had just shot the worst trap scores of my life about 10 minutes before. 1st shot, broken clay at 75 yards offhand. 2nd shot, broken clay at 75 yards. Best comment, maybe we should find a trap load for that gun.
All shooters loved the gun even before I introduced them to the Buffalo Bore ammo. Perhaps I redeemed myself as a shooter hitting those 2 clays offhand at 75 yards. The Guide Gun was stock except for a sling.
Testimony for the accuracy of the Guide Gun? Sure. Rookie shooters and rookie re-loader still hitting 2 inch targets at 75 yards off-hand.

Edited, targets were standard trap clays. Whatever they measure is what we were shooting at.
