Joe: Remember the pictures I submitted for your photo contest, the ones of my wife and her catches?
I know that I am particularly blessed to have found someone who doesn't mind doing this sport herself. It is wonderful to have a wife to do this stuff with together, too. But her latest surprise really knocked me over.
I've been trapping out the back of my 1995 Toyota Tercel, 2-door, small-sized car for several years now. I know...that's not something you will ever read about in FFG or anything, but you have to do with what you have on hand sometimes, and you would be surprized at how many traps and critters will fit in the trunk of that little thing!!! The only drawback with it was that it was definately a "park and walk" vehicle to trap from. Up to now, the method was park off the road, and walk back into the middle of the section where some ungodly-sized beaver awaited us to try to drag back to the car by walking. Of course, being chivalrous and all, I said that I would gladly carry anything either of us caught. (Huff...Huff...)
Well, you saw the pics...she catches some whoppers, sometimes!
Anyway, this month she took me to the local dealership and bought me a 2003 4x4, quad cab Dodge Dakota. Said she was tired of driving in that small car that smelled like I usually do at the end of the day. I said thank you, too, like a real gentleman should.
So...now what do I do??? (Ha Ha Ha Ha) I see on the calendar that Valentines day is coming up real fast here...
