New 22" 223 HB!!
« on: January 15, 2005, 12:37:29 PM »
Today I woke up with the intention of living a normal Saturday afternoon.

Little did I know, I was to own a new 223 Handi the same day. At about 2:30pm, I headed up to Gander Mt. to check out some 17HMR ammo and perhaps look at the rifles. Well, as I was shopping around, I noticed the NEF section which included 4 nice 223's, 2 HB's and 2 regular. I checked both of the HB's out and ended up purchasing the nicer one for 189.99. I walked out of the store like a little kid with candy and only spent $206.00!!

Next stop was Wal-Mart to purchase a Bushnell 4-12x40 for $70.00 and a box of 45g JHP's for 14 bux I believe it was.

Now, less than 300.00 later, I have a new toy to take to the range. Tomorrow morning I'll be shooting in my new beast   :D

Great Hildy, now you have to name it you know, old lazer, one-hole, zipper, one-shot, think up something which reflects the character or an incident with the gun, congratulations and have fun, how about the P'dog shoot? I can't go, it's to far, but maybe you could make it and introduce your new gun to the guys....<><....

Hildy I bought the same scope and I think it's a higher priced Bushnell in a cheaper package just for Wallyorld.I wish someone who knows would check,it looks and shoots like a $200 scope to me.

MSP- No name yet, I'll have to look into that

Actually, I checked at Gander Mt. for the win. varmints, but they were out of stock.

You guys can check out my range report on it. The gun is sounding quite impressive so far. Made a 3 shot group that measured slightly less than 5/8"
