This isn't really a poll but I'll sure appreciate the advice.What ML barrel would YOU order for a blued/wood Handi?

I GOT THE BLACK/BLUE ON MY WOOD ...STOCK IM GOING TO GET THE BETTER HALF A SIDEKICKIN S/S BUT IT ONLY COMES WITH PLASTIC STOCKS :cry: ILOVE THE S/S BARRELS IN BLACK POWDER BECAUSE ITS SLOWER TO RUST,BUT I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH MY BLUE yet....i wouldGET THE STAINLESS IN 24 IN. BUT IF I WAS EVER TO HUNT LONGER RANGE I WOULD GET THE MAG..BARREL JUST MY THOUGHTS.....JB

I would order a spare breech plug, and ask that the breech plug is left out.
I would then wire brush both breech plugs extensively, as well as the barrel breech plug threads. In seating a plug I would screw all the way in, and then back it off slightly. Any good plug grease works well.
Each new barrel I got back....the biggest pain in the tail was skinning my knuckles and swearing over pullin' the plug.

The first thing i did when i got  my huntsman was to make a breech plug tool from a 3/8" sparkplug scocket, work's great.There is a thread on this forum somewhere with all the info, mater of fact, everthing,I say everthing you want  to know about the Huntsman is on this forum.onest injun*************ogo

This might be what your looking for. I came up with the socket idea and Perklo has another way of permanently doing it in this thread as well. My pictures leave a lot to be desired, but I think they will get the idea. This tool works like a dream as compared to the "knuckle buster" as supplied. It sure would not take H&R/NEF much to make this tool better. Here it is with pics.

Busta'yote, yep that be it. Like I said everthing you need to know about the Huntsman and a lot of other stuff is right here on these fourm's,GBO great place**************ogo
