Went to the local show today. Bought some rifle primers and a couple boxes of 9mm ammo. Then I saw it - a Browning B-78. Virtually new, with Browning bases and rings. Heavy round barrel and chambered in 6mm Rem. Kicked around the idea of buying it for quite some time. Went back and forth, finally drove home. On the way, had the brilliant idea of trading a spare Sako 30-06 I happen to have. So, got the Sako and went back. Normally, I'd get there about the time someone else was walking away with the rifle, but made a deal and now I just got done cleaning what looks like the original grease out of the barrel. Only glass I have is the Zeiss Conquest 3X9 I took off the Sako, so that will have to do for now.
Now I just have to load up some 75 gr Vmax and see what's what......
Next on the list is a Ruger No. 1 in 25-06..........
Rifle loonacy is a terrible thing........
