Safety switch for a lefty.......

Can you switch the crossbolt safety to work for a lefty?

I'd love to get a 1894SS but shoot lefthanded so the safety would need to be switched.

I'm a "righty", but I'm having a hard time understanding why you'd want to reverse the safety.

Looks to me that the crossbolt safety was designed to go both ways.

So, either way, both leftys and rightys would have to go both directions.
