I finally, after three unreturned calls, got ahold of Marlin. The lady in scheduling said thay will begin production next week thru the end of March on the 32 CB. First run is scheduled to go out the end of January.

I was thinking about getting my wife one of the 32 mags to carry as a saddle gun.
Is there anyone here who had any hands on time with this rifle?

FINALLY!!

Received the first Marlin 1894 Cowboy 32 H&R Magnum today.  It is nicely put together, great blue metal finish and the loading tube is slick as can be.  The only short coming is the final finish on the wood; it feels grainy, almost like they did not dust off the wood completely before final application.

I cannot tell you about the shooting, loading and unloading as this gun is for one of my customers.  As soon as he uses it I am in hopes he will give us a report.

Sorry I cannot give your more details.  RJSnow

it would be great if marlin's chambering becomes a success. the 32 mag fills the niche left by the 32/20 . being a straight walled catridge its easier to reload especially with carbide dies, my ruger ssm is a great little sa sixgun , accurate and enough power to deal with small game applications. i would love to have a rifle using the same cartridge.

Wow, after waiting for months, I'll finally be able to get one. I see now they're being offered in 32-20 and it looks like I have to save for another one. :)

Sorry for taking so long to get back.  I know of no one who has another of these firearms.  I called my distributors and was advised that they all sold out the same day mine arrived.

My customer finally picked up his rifle and brought some of his handloads with him.  We tried the rifle for loading, fit and function with no problems.  We fired the rifle from 75 yards and found it to be quite accurate while off-hand shooting.  The snow is too deep here to get out to the target range and set up targets for true accuracy testing.

All in all, my customer and I both feel that this is a fine rifle with few faults and should be a good addition to the Marlin line.    RJSnow
