You will have no problem with killing power out to 35 yards with Hevi.  I have dropped geese with my 10 gauge at 70 yards with the stuff.  We usually shoot at 40-50 yards on geese and have very few cripples.

Be careful, it can get expensive.

I suggest using a modified choke.  Don't go too open.

Good luck.

If you want to shoot geese at long range I'd use at least no.2 hevi-shot and buy a 10ga. I have heard very few good reports on 3 1/2" 12 ga. I talked to a guy that I believe when he says he killed geese this year with the Bsize hevi shot at 90 yards. One of the waterfowl magazines had an article about this ammo and all of the ballistics were right for 90 yard killing power. I've shot quite a few at 50 yards but that's about as far as I've taken it.
PROUD REDNECK CONSERVATIVE

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun
