I just brought this model 66 home today. It is a 20 Ga. with 28" barrel. 3" chamber. Proof Tested, Roto forged, then there is a engraving of an anvil with a "P" inside of it.
Serial # 6607481xx. I am refinishing the wood. The reciever & lever are made of a strange metal that cannot be blued, not aluminum, it is heavy like steel. Must be coated with a paint finish. I need to know what would be the most durable, oil & solvent resistant paint to use on the reciever & lever. Any info regarding date and any specs on this gun would be appreciated. Choke type is not shown on engraving, although I suspect it is "full".
