New Fluted Barrel 917VSF

Marlin's new 917VSF has a partially fluted barrel if anyone is considering a new .17hmr.

Looks like a nice rifle and should lighten it up some...

On the other hand, I have the standard 917VS and I am seriously considering pouring some lead into the stock to make it heavier.

I think about 5lbs of lead spread throughout that stock should make it much more stable in the field.
