DuraCoat amount
« on: January 22, 2005, 02:52:08 PM »
I've got an old barreled action that I'm going to be somewhat restoring, and since I don't have the resources to do any sort of blueing, I will be using DuraCoat (as a hobby I build scale models so I have plenty of airbrushing equipment).  The only thing I was wondering was the amount.  Midway sells the stuff in 4oz quantities.  Would 4oz be enough to finish 1 gun (Mauser with 24" barrel), or would I need a second bottle?  Thanks.

The 4 oz. can should be more than enough to do your rifle. As a matter of fact, you'll have enough left over to do another gun or two. This will depend on how heavy you put it on though. MI VHNTR
