model 93 Savage

i have a model 93 savage black synthetic/stainless 22wmr. once in a while i will get a missfire, regardless of ammo brand, when i examine the "unfired" round it appears that the firing pin did not hit with enough force. it barely dents the rim. if i rechamber the round it will fire. this only happens about one out of ten or fifteen shots, very annoying. anyone ever had this problem? also, is there anything i can do with the trigger besides change it? or is it a gunsmith job? thanks....

I think I would disassemble the bolt and clean it well. Do a search on the Savage forum at RFC, there's a bolt disassembly thread or 2 there to help.
