MR Frosty.. Can you elaborate! I have a BFR 45/70.. Love it.. I assume you dont.  please elaborate.

Loved the 45/70 so much he deserves company. Just bought a D-Max sidewinder to keep him company. haven't got to shoot it yet.. Can't waite.
ordered new grips as the supplide grip is just too big for me.

I heard they had some issues with cartridge setback, (similar issues happened with the .22 Jet in the S&W Model 53). Bottleneck cartridges and revolvers don't get along well. The .17's are the exception rather than the rule. It's very important to keep the chambers clean and very DRY. I would love a .30-30 BFR to compliment the two I already have in .45-70 and .500 S&W Mag.  Bill T.
