The bass top photo on the left is 9.5lb the one on the right is about 7

The 2 bass in the motel room are 9.75 (dad) and 9.25 (me)  (I'm standing about 3 feet behind him, looks flat in the picture but it isn't.

The one on the bottom is 10.

We had one heck of a Florida trip this year.  6 bass over 9 lbs, 2 over 8, 4 over 7, 1 over 6 and a bunch of 4's and 5's

 Good fish.  Sounds like you had a good time.  One of our local fishermen, Kelly Jordan just won the $900,000. WAL-MART FLW on Lake Okeechobee.  Opening day he caught 17lbs 19oz, the next day he had 12lbs, 15os and the final day he had four fish that tipped the scales at 23lbs even to win first place, worth $100.000. and an invitation to the Bass Masters.  Not too shabby for a boy from West Texas.

I missed my trip to Lake Fork this year.  We had planned to go in January, that didn't work out so we rescheduled for this week-end.  My buddy had a problem and couldn't make it, so here I set a-wishing I coulda been a fishing.  I really don't feel too bad about not going, the weather is miserable. I don't mind the cold, but I'd just as soon stay home when the wind is kicking.  With all the stumps and fall downs, Fork is not a safe lake to be on when the wind is up.  With all the big hardwood trees rotted off right at or below water level you take a chance of tearing the bottom out of your boat.   I sat on the bank several years ago and watched a new Ranger impale itself on a stump, it broke through the bottom just forward of the drivers seat.  The boat was not running fast, the waves picked it up, and when it came down.........crash, we're stuck.  The two guys were very lucky they were right on the edge of a cove and managed to get to shallow water and wade out.  It took a barge with a winch pole about four hours to get the boat out the next day.  That sure spoils a good fishing trip.

I bet I know where he was when he caught those fish.  :)

We had a hydrilla bed we fished about every day that week.  On the 3rd day, he showed up with the camera boats, helicopters and the entire crew.  We were actually fishing about 50 yards apart.  I think he'd been watching us through binoculars or something.     I do believe the side of the bed we were on was a little better.  We let him have it for an hour one day, but he didn't catch a fish, after he left we moved back in and about 30 minutes later were catching again.
