1996...30-30 super 14 on a 1979ish frame...was either that or a 44mag...i figured the 30-30 win would be different since i had never owned a handgun in a rifle caliber...then it was a 6.5 tcu, a 22 hornet, a second frame (old 1974ish frame)...then a 256 win mag, 375 win, 357 mag, 219 zipper...  this might be getting addictive....still want a 17 cal...just because...and maybe a 41 or 44 mag....lets see....that leaves...
a 6mm bullberry or 6tcu
a 270 cal...maybe a 270 ren or 270 jdj
a 7mm...either a 7-30 or a 7tcu..
an 8mm jdj for the 8mm size
a 338 of some kind...if i can ever find a 33 winchester..that would be the ticket..else  338 jdj would have to do...
charlie sharpes has a 348 win contender...that might be fun...
don't know what i would to in .366
a 40-65 would be fun
and of course round things out with a 45-70...
i got a ways to go...my wife will kill me....

out of those i guess the one that really makes me say i want it...is either a 17 hornet or remington or the 8mm jdj.....why?  don' t know....just because i guess...

Around 1976, in 357 Mag. Started looking at them in the late 60's, but could not afford one at that time. No scope on this one. Wish I still had it.

racepres - yep.......my first was  a five digit serial # with the grip on it that was just like the one they used as a pattern for all their parafenalia. Bought it at a flea market, when you could still do that.....$75 complete. Kinda like a rounded off 2x2. That one got a crack in it so I sent it back to them. They sent me the newer upgrade that is the odd righthanded only with the big scallop on the left side and oval metal bottom plate. I sanded out all the crappy checkering and finished it and the fore end out with True oil........25 years ago.
Come to think of it I have a Contender (not G2) from one of the earliest, one about the middle of production (still has the cool cougar on it not the clown cougar) returned to TC for the easy open conversion and trigger upgrade and one of the last (post fire). Quite honestly the newest one closes up, locks up and overall fits the best.

June 1976, 10" tapered bull, no sights, in .30 Herrett.  Used it for deer on Kodiak Island for several years until I bought some different barrels.  I've lost count on how many I have now, over 15 anyway.

My Contender was purchased for me by my Dad In '77 or '78. We shot IHMSA back then and I shot the Jr. small bore with my 10 inch bull barrel .22lr.

I took home a lot of trophies with that pistol. I shot the Jr class until I was about 14 years old then I started shooting with the guys and I still won a lot of matches with that gun. Shot in the AAA production class most of the time.

I got two 44 mag barrels, one 8 inch and one 10 inch, both hot shot barrels and a 8 inch 45 colt hot shot barrel. as everyone else I have aquired a number of barrels and frames. oh by the way I still have my first contender I bought

1990 - 30-30 in a deep blue Super 14. Until that purchase, thought it was one of the "ugliest" guns I had ever seen. Now with some 7 frames (both blue and SS) and 68 barrels (also both blue and SS), I guess you can say I'm hooked. I have yet to add any AA frames or barrels to my collection. Maybe some of you can help me out with that. Anyone have unaltered AA frames and barrels they are willing to part with?

Sept. 1969 - it had a 45-410 barrel and cost $125.  At the same time i ordered  22lr, 30-30, .222 and 44mag barrels for $25. each.  I still have the 45-410 and the 22lr in the walnut presentation case that TC sold at that time.  That contender has seen a lot of use.  It was killing deer when most hunters were going to mag rifles.

I bought a .30-30 Super 16 stainless at a gunshow in Montgomery.  Ran into finance problems and had to sell off some things to pay a couple of bills... That sucked...  Didn't get another until this past Christmas.  Went to Ed's and bought a G2 frame.  Didn't have the money for a barrel.  Managed to buy a .357 Mag barrel a couple of weeks ago.  Haven't been able to get to the range yet, too much snow and cold.  Just waiting for a good day...

November 2004 - yep, a newbie! But I love 'em.  Found my first at a gunshow - very old frame with 45LC 10" Octagon w/choke. I think I will send it in for the "easy open" conversion this spring. Have since added a second frame and these barrels-

44 Mag 10" w/choke
223 Super 14 with scope
223 Super 16
30-30 Win 21" Carbine
10"  410 barrel  (custom)

Starting to like the rifle configurations the best - they're small and fun to carry. Probably going to sell the S14 223... I like the 16 better.

What a great trip down memory lane for us addicts, huh? 'Course, as Graybeard alluded to, that trip is gettin' shorter and shorter! Anyway, for me, the year was 1977, the serial # was low-6 digits, and the caliber was 10" 30-30 Win., brand-spankin' new in the box. I drooled on the counter for months before I worked up the money. I don't have that barrel anymore, but that frame still resides with me. It's still pre-easyopen, has been re-finished and has a sweet trigger pull, and has taken more game than all my other (3) T/Cs together.

I think it was 1974 or 1976. I got a 45 lc/ 410 and a .256 wm octigon barrels. Like an azz I sold it.
Now I have an Encore and Contender with about six barrels.
Still wish I had the first.

1986  14" 7TCU.  Moved to WA that summer right out of college.  Had a new daughter and saw a new game.  Shooting at steel animals instead of aluminum cans.  Had to learn how to play.  After getting the Contender, had to try a 357 and a 30-30.  Got octagon barrels in those calibers.   The fever has only recently started to disperse.  I have not purchased a barrel in probably 6 months.  I would tell you how many I have, but I dont know.  I honestly don't.  I do have 6 Contender frames.   If I quit buying Freedom Arms revolvers, I might be able to afford another Contender barrel.   :)

.22 10" match
.22 15" Bullberry
.22 10" Hornet
.221 10"
.222 10"
.223 12" Hunter
.223 14"

That is my .22 barrels.........sheesh......

1984 10inch 44 mag with hot shot choke, got 10inch barreled 22mag at the same time.

Shot a Partridge first time out with the 22mag barrel :-)

I still have some of the special T/C 44mag shoot shells.

Traded both of my oringinal barrels for others over the years

But I still have plenty of others
